It is a very cute, simple and easy project to make for your little ones.

I love that it is an idea that can be modified with different shapes and create your own, unique project for girls and boys.

This will be the layout of your pattern:

Plus, add a 32’’ x 4 strap for the bag

Instructions:

Place the padding and the flannel hear shaped pieces together, wrong sides facing. Sew around the heart, making some fun shapes to keep the padding and the fabric together.

Place the zipper on the top heart piece.

Then, put the zipper on the bottom piece of your heart. Press flat.

Top-stitch the zipper 1/8 inch away from the zipper line.

Straps: Fold the strap in half and press flat with your iron.

Then, open it and fold the strap again by turning the outside of the strap to the inside (meeting in the middle, as shown in the picture)

Then, fold again and press flat.

Edge stitch the strap 1/8 inch from the edge ALL AROUND

Now, attach them to the back bag piece.

Place the front and back of the bag together, right sides facing, and sew long the hear shape.

Tip: round areas and corners are easier to manage with a shorter length stitch.
